Rajesh Khanna was a reflection of the times in the late sixties and Early seventies.I was an impressionable youn man at that time.Like me,many from our generation-all across the country,were completely bowled over by Rajesh khanna's charm and screen presence. We have all passed that era and to the different periods upto the present era of muti- crore rupee potboilers.But,the Rajesh Khanna era lingers on in our memories even now. The simplicity,the innocence and the romantic touch to our lives cannot be forgotten. Though Rajesh Khanna fell from his high pedestal at the Box-Office,he managed to command a certain place amongst the countrymen, His best quality was that he chose to be original and not copy other Film greats of his times, He Lived Life kingsize-on his terms and died that way too-otherwise why would he do that stupid Fan Ad?He wanted all of us to have an image/s of him before death, that he chose. Well - his passing away was a passing away of an era which has given us a treasure trove of sensitive movies and melodious songs. Rest in peace-Rajesh Khanna!
